Rationale
Over time, some of the steps you have taken during the preparation setup may have been undone. So going through the key preparation steps again to confirm the setup ensures that your devices are still setup securely.
Instructions
What you should do
1. Set Digital Security Checkup Reminder
Depending on how you use your phone, and your security context, you will want to review the setup every 3, 4 or 6 months. So once you've decided how often you want to confirm the setup, add the "Confirm Digital Security" reminders to your calendar for the 12 months.
2. Confirm Your Lock Screen Settings
Confirm that the instructions to 📱 Configure your Lock Screen are still in place.
3. Confirm Your Apps Automatically Update
Confirm that the instructions to 📱 Automatically Download App Updates are still in place.
4. Uninstall Unused Apps
Go through 📱 Uninstall Unused Apps again.
5. Revoke Unnecessary App Permissions
Go through 📱 Review and Revoke App Permissions again.
6. Maintain Decoy Apps
Ideally you are refreshing these apps more frequently (ideally as often as you use the non-decoy version) to make it believable. But now is a good time to go through your Decoy Apps and ensure that they all have some recent activity / to make it believable that they are your real apps.
Go through 📱 Review and Revoke App Permissions again.
7. Archive Your Data
Archive any data you no longer need to carry with you on your phone to your archives, and remove them from your phone.
The instructions to follow are in the 💻-🖥️-📱 Archive or Destroy Your Data.
