What you should know
- This guide is very similar to 💻-🖥️ Encrypt External Drives with VeraCrypt, but if you want to store your Encrypted vault on an external drive, we recommend following that guide instead of this one.
- If you want to encrypt your entire drive and not just have a vault in which you can store selected files, follow the 💻-🖥️ Encrypt Internal Drives with VeraCrypt guide instead.
What you should prepare
- Finished to 💻-🖥️ Install VeraCrypt.
- Consider how large you want your vault to be? i.e. how much storage space will you need for your sensitive files?
- Make sure your internal hard drive has sufficient space available.
What you should do
1. Setup an Outer Vault on your Drive
- Pres Start
- Search and open "VeraCrypt"
- Click "Create Volume"
- Continue with the instruction steps under "What you should do" in 💻-🖥️ Create a Hidden Vault with VeraCrypt. You can follow it till completion.
